There are several ways to rent or sell extra items in ProPlanner. This may be a service, as well as an item or accessory. Below is an explanation in which scenario it is best to choose which option.
Article
- Can you rent and/or sell.
- Works with stock, not with the calendar.
- Usually this involves items that are relatively cheap and plentiful.
- The tablet app allows you to add items at the check-out (in ProPlanner web, this is also possible of course)
- If the marketing module was used, it also allows management of which items should be offered as upselling for which resource.
- Examples:
- Moving blankets
- Carts
- Toilet rolls
Accessories
- Is a resource in ProPlanner and can therefore be scheduled and does not work with a stock.
- Examples:
- Roof racks/roof box
- Child seat
- Snow chains
- Is usually chosen for of one of the following reasons
- The rental item has a significant value as an asset and is therefore not available in abundance. E.g. roof box
- The rental item needs to be scheduled on the calendar screen instead of working with stock
Surcharge
- To be determined on price
- Always charged, either once per resource on the contract or per unit (e.g. per day).
- Examples:
- Environmental surcharge
- CO2 contribution
Extra charge
- Extra service, service or intervention
- Can be linked to checklist or carwash module
- Can still be added via tablet app at check-out and/or check-in
- Examples:
- Cleaning service
- Minor repair
- VAB breakdown assistance
