The pit stop module provides an efficient way to monitor and manage the cleanliness of your fleet. It also integrates seamlessly with our supplements module.

When a vehicle is returned dirty, the pit stop module provides you with the following convenient functionalities:

  • Mark the vehicle as dirty - this info is also tracked on the resource sheet.
  • Receive alerts on both the home screen and schedule allowing timely intervention for future bookings with this vehicle.
  • A handy carwash list on the tablet that clearly indicates which vehicles urgently need a polish.

How does it work?
During the check-in procedure on the tablet, on the screen where you can also indicate the damage report, you can indicate the cleanliness of the car via the "cleanliness" button.

By default, ProPlanner provides the following five grades:

You can specify a value for both the exterior and also the interior (e.g., "very dirty"). Once registered, you will also find these values on the vehicle sheet under the detail tile. Each time a new value is entered, the vehicle sheet will be updated:

Through the PITSTOP module in ProPlanner, you can also determine what the minimum cleanliness value of the vehicle should be at check-out. If this standard is exceeded, ProPlanner will give you a warning. You can also enter these values manually at check-in or you can choose to provide a default value. E.g. every vehicle regardless of its cleanliness status is always given the value "dirty" at check-in, both for interior and exterior. Do you want to set this up? Then contact us so we can do this for you.

The alert arising from the entered/standard cleanliness status translates into a drop icon on the vehicle and on future bookings with this vehicle in the schedule and is also visible on the dashboard in the alerts. This alert has no blocking impact on the schedule and serves only as an informational notification.

On the tablet itself, the 'carwash' button will show you a handy list of vehicles that do not meet the minimum requirements and thus need a polish. This is ranked by the vehicle's next check-out time and then by license plate, but there are some handy features to prioritize this list more quickly:

  • The customer is included in the list each time so you can more easily start prioritizing who you clean a vehicle for first.
  • If memos were registered, you will also see them appear in the car wash module. By default, you see vehicle-level memos, and if a subsequent departure date is entered, customer and contract memos are also displayed.
  • If some resources of a particular rental type do not require carwash (e.g. maintenance), then you can set on rental type that they 'do not require carwash' and they disappear from the list.

Once the car has been washed, you can select the vehicle in the list and designate it as "washed" so that it disappears from the list:

Pitstop module in combination with the supplements module

The pit stop module becomes even more powerful with the integration of the supplements module, a module that - the name says it all - charges for supplements. For example, a polish can be considered a supplement and you can charge this supplement to the customer for both interior and exterior at a price you set.

Via the PITSTOP tile you can specify from when a supplement for cleaning should be charged. This will then be automatically added to the customer's contract. You always remain in control of whether or not you charge these supplements effectively.
