In ProPlanner, you have the option to search for a company by VAT number. Sometimes you may not get the desired result. This can have various causes:

• The number is not known on the website where ProPlanner retrieves the data. For VAT numbers, this is the VIES Database. If you enter the number on this website and it is not found, it is best to check with your customer whether you have the correct VAT number.
  
  
• Your customer may have recently applied for their VAT number and the data has not yet reached the VIES database. Check if you can find your data in the VIES Database.
  
  
• If it is a sole proprietorship, the VAT number will be found, but the address details (for privacy reasons) will be unavailable and therefore empty in ProPlanner. These data are also not available through the CBE. Consult the CBE Public Searchfor this.
  
  
• The VIES database is temporarily unreachable. Check the VIES Database for error messages on their website.
  
  
• If you can find the VAT number on the VIES Database, but not through ProPlanner, please contact our support at support@proplanner.eu or through the contact form.
