If you have many different rates, it is often quite a task to index them. This means you have to adjust the price of each of these rates individually. However, ProPlanner offers you a solution to do this quickly and easily.

In the overview of the rates (Management > Prices > Rates) you will find an "Actions" button at the top. Clicking this shows you, among other things, the option "Copy rates to a new rate period". This option will only be active if at least one rate has been selected.

To index certain rates, proceed as follows:

  1. Select the rates to be indexed
  2. Then click the "Actions" button and select the option "Copy rates to a new rate period\". This will take you to the following screen:
  3. In the above screen:
    1. You fill in the date of the last day on which the current rates apply.
    2. You indicate whether the price adjustment should be percentage or absolute.
    3. You determine whether it is a price increase (+) or decrease (-)
    4. You specify the percentage of the percentage price adjustment (or the amount of the absolute price adjustment)
  4. When you then click OK:
    1. The selected rates will be adjusted with the specified end date
    2. New rates will be created that are an exact copy of the selected rates, with the exception of:
      1. The start date which will be set to the date of the day after the specified end date
      2. The unit price which will be adjusted as specified in the above window.

When you want to make an absolute price decrease on the selected rates, it is possible that this price decrease could result in a negative amount for some rates. ProPlanner will check this and set the new price to € 0.00 in these cases to ensure negative rates are avoided.
